Reading: The Davinci Code (finally!)
Watching: Evangelion: Death and Rebirth
Okay, so it's been over four months since I last posted anything...I'm so lousy at keeping up with journals of any sort.
Much has happened since I last posted. I got to see a building implode (sooo cool), and just got back from Anime Expo '06 on Friday. I had a such a good time! I'm just hoping that my pics actually came out right, not like my pics from A-Kon! I took almost 80 pics at A-Kon and all but 3 or 4 of them were fuzzy! Damn point and shoot...
On the art side, I've been playing around in Photoshop, trying to learn as much as I can about it. I've also started to try and learn to digitally color pictures, so there should be more of those pics up before the summer is out!
As for my featured Artist this time, I'm going with *shirotsuki. She has an incredible gallery! Check it out!

Many thanks to anyone who has commented on or faved my pics. I know I don't do enough thanking people. If you have left me comments and I haven't thanked you yet, you have my gratitude.

I'd say, it anything, try to look for things about your subject matter that are really interesting. For example, a snake might be really neat, but what are somethings ABOUT the snake that are neat? There are the colors, the scales, maybe the eyes. A statue may be interesting, but what ABOUT the statue? Is it some waterstains on face? Is it a bit of texture created by natural erotion of the stone?
Subject matter may be interesting by itself, but when you take that subject matter and focus on something more specific-texture, shading, emotion, whatever- it adds something more to the piece.
